The AIS-R Teacher
The Purpose of the AIS-R Teacher: To cause thinking, learning and action; to cultivate inquisitive, independent, and resilient learners who inspire positive change in their communities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree and valid teaching certificate (North American or equivalent certification)
- Certification in subject area and/or grade level is required
- Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred
- A proven record of excellence in prior teaching posts for a minimum of two years (full-time, K-12 teaching)
- Expertise in subject matter
- Fluency in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Terms of Employment and Additional Responsibilities: Salary is assigned from the Faculty salary schedule; the contract term is 190 days. Compensation will be determined based on the established Faculty salary schedule.
Contractual hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (5:00 pm on Tuesdays)
Faculty are expected to fulfill duties that extend beyond the school day, including commitments to after-school activities (ASAs), after-school learning (ASL), and coaching (requirement for Physical Education teachers).
All PE teachers are required to coach at least one sport in AIS-R’s Athletics program annually.
Learning and Growth: Performance is appraised through the AIS-R Professional Growth and Evaluation framework and in accordance with school policy by the designated Supervisor.
