Communications Design Manager [Substitute]
This role would involve an initial shadowing period from June 2 to June 18, followed by additional shadowing from August 2 to August 14. The maternity coverage assignment would then run from August 14 to November 10.
Qualifications:
- University/College Degree;
- Strong interpersonal, communication (written and spoken English) skills;
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills;
- Ability to think creatively and analytically;
- Knowledge of graphic design, particularly page design and typography;
- Knowledge of the printing process, including layout, proofing, problem areas, and limitations;
- Basic photography skills & DSLR Camera knowledge;
- Experience with Adobe InDesign CS6 (datamerge, master pages, page setup, typography style sheets, importing text and graphics) and PhotoShop CS6 and Adobe illustrator;
- Ability to work extra hours during peak deadline season and then arrange for comp time during less busy times;
- Ability to coordinate with staff and student groups to arrange group photos and other specific photos;
- Ability to concentrate on very detailed work - names, spelling, many changes, photo numbers, page numbers, etc;
- Ability to prioritize projects and multitask;
- Ability to be self-motivated and meet deadlines.

Associate Superintendent (AMC)
The Understandings, Skills, Values, and Mindset of the Communications & Design Manager are:
Branding and Visibility:
- Maintains a positive professional working relationship with all staff members;
- Collaborates effectively with the HR/Communications team and the AMC Team (Admissions, Marketing and Communications).
- Design and oversee production of school-wide visual communications including banners, signage, programs, brochures, posters, invitations, tickets, and marketing collateral.
- Ensure consistency in logo usage, typography, colors, and overall brand presentation.
- Provide branding guidance and approvals for divisional and departmental requests.
Photography & Media Coordination
- Lead and manage K-12 photography operations including:
- student portraits
- staff headshots
- class photos
- event coverage
- Coordinate directly with external photography vendors and studios.
- Organize photography schedules, student rosters, barcoding systems, and data management workflows.
- Ensure child protection and media usage guidelines are followed for all photography and communications.
Yearbook Production
- Monitors the calendar of school events for photography needs and works closely with the HR & Communications Associate to identify photography coverage needs;
- Manage deadlines, reviews, corrections and templates with the Yearbook Class advisor.
Design, communications & Creative production
- Documents and organizes images for publication and promotional material individually or in collaboration with Administrators, Faculty and Staff;
- Works closely with the Facilities Office Assistant to design all classroom/office signage during the first week of the new academic year.
- Works with both in-house and outsourced printers to meet AIS-R’s printing needs;
- Facilitates and/or quality manages, with AIS-R’s Leadership Team, faculty members, and staff members, the creation of banners, including layout and printing;
- Aligns all signage and banner designs to AIS-R’s branding and marketing guidelines;
- Facilitates the creation and printing of business cards, letterhead, envelopes, etc.;
- Designs school promotional/event items to address school needs in alignment with AIS-R quality standards;
- Collaborates with Leadership Team to strategically target audience via design/marketing understanding;
- Collaborates with Director of HR and Communications for banner approvals and plans regarding organizational communications design efficiency;
- Strategizes methods to effectively budget for and produce school communications design;
- Ensures quality management of digital and print productions, as well as school logo and branding;
- Coordinate with Community Relations manager for social media content and ideas
- Update the brand guidelines documents and ensure it is communicated to AIS-R F&S.
- Update all handbooks, data update, and annual publication materials with information as received from departments
- Design and create posters,pillars and ads that are k-12 related with additional support to divisions if needed.
- Support visibility and partnership initiatives that strengthen the school’s public presence and community engagement
- Maintain organized digital asset management systems and photo archives.
Terms Of Employment:
Salary assigned on the Long-Term Staff Substitute structure
Daily Rate: 500 SAR/ work day
Transportation: 90 SAR / work day
